Paperback - 90 pages, 2nd edition (2001), Dimensions (in inches): 8.5 x 11 x 0.5, B&W
Review: This is a brief review for the national exam. It is perfect for the busy
working pharmacy technician who is short on time. The math section is clearly explained and it
contains a 30 question practice quiz. This book also includes email support from the author.
Review: This is the absolute bible of pharmacy. This is a good reference for
generic/brand names, drug class, drug interactions, etc.
There are also some very useful drug charts and treatment guidelines in the back of the book.
However, it is a little weak on OTC drugs. Overall, this is an excellent portable medical
reference.
Paperback - 600 pages 2nd edition (2003), Dimensions (in inches): 11 x 8.5 x 0.9, B&W
Review: This is an excellent review for the pharmacy technician certification exam.
It is comprehensive, organized, and understandable. The topics covered in this book follow
closely the topics covered on the PTCB exam. This book has plenty of sample tests and a lengthy
math review as well. However, it is a little weak on drug information (generic names,
drug class, etc.) and pharmacy law. Overall, this is a highly recommended review book for
the PTCB exam.
