Paperback - 2001 pages 14th edition (March 30, 2006), B&W

Review: This is the absolute bible of pharmacy. This is a good reference for generic/brand names, drug class, drug interactions, etc. There are also some very useful drug charts and treatment guidelines in the back of the book. However, it is a little weak on OTC drugs. Overall, this is an excellent portable medical reference.

Delmar's Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam Review
by Patricia K. Anthony

Paperback - 600 pages 2nd edition (2003), Dimensions (in inches): 11 x 8.5 x 0.9, B&W

Review: This is an excellent review for the pharmacy technician certification exam. It is comprehensive, organized, and understandable. The topics covered in this book follow closely the topics covered on the PTCB exam. This book has plenty of sample tests and a lengthy math review as well. However, it is a little weak on drug information (generic names, drug class, etc.) and pharmacy law. Overall, this is a highly recommended review book for the PTCB exam.
